About this site

Alyssa is a New York City based artist with many focuses and passions. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Illustration and Animation, and is currently pursuing her MFA. She teaches studio art, drawing, and intro to graphic design at THE Mary Louis Academy. Some recent freelance projects include illustrations for the Aviary app, children's murals, and book illustration.

In second grade (1996), our teacher had us keep a journal that she checked regularly. I wrote about random things like what I ate that day, some details about my family and pets, and simple occurrences. Although it started off as a small assignment, I continued journaling through elementary grades into high school. It’s been a goal of mine to put images to some of my favorite entries. This semester I have explored it a bit and here is a peek into one of my favorite, most awkward documented moments: (edits to come soon)
